Dr. Elie Dancour is a neurologist and neurointerventionalist who evaluates and treats disorders of the blood vessels of the brain and neck. He believes patients deserve a clear explanation of the diagnosis, an honest discussion of what catheter treatment can and cannot do, and a plan that keeps families informed.
He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 2011 and completed neurology residency at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University. He then completed a fellowship in critical care neurology at Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neurointerventional surgery at Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine.
His areas of focus include mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, aneurysm embolization, and treatment of vascular malformations. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology.
